TDI
My new TDI has arrived. I have a feeling that I am going to be obsessed with the fuel economy of the thing. I’ve already created a spreadsheet in order to track the data. For today, it will provide the photo of the day. It is so shiny you can see my neighbors house in it.

Sweet candy. Get ready for Montreal and back on 1 tank. The most I got out of my TDI was about 1150km, and that was back in 2000/2001. Use Sunoco Gold or Biodiesel.
I’m also jealous. I want to trade in my GLI now.
Congrats.

Awesome! I’m at 1050kms on this tank right now with my 2002 TDI and I’ve got over an eighth left. You won’t be disappointed with yours!
You’ll have to come by with it sometime this week…

Oh yeah… biodiesel isn’t recommended for the 2004+ PD TDI’s, especially at lower temperatures. See here. I use Sunoco Gold, that’s generally accepted as the best we can get in Ontario.
